A love for French.

We were fortunate enough to stay in this lovely house whilst in France, the home of Steve and Jill, close friends of ours.

I took some images to use as ideas for our own home that we may own one day, I hope.

New home – to be or not to be…….

We have been seeking for a home since we arrived here. We knew Winchcombe was the place we wanted to be.  Only saw one or two in the area and well actually I think it was only one and then found one we fell in love with…….

Since the decision made in December,  we are still waiting to hear whether or not it will be ours.  What a emotional rollercoaster ride it has been.

I want to share with you a book I found in a lovely book store in Narbonne… or was it Montpellier?

The author:

Sybille Schenker is a Berlin based talented Illustrator that is currently working with paper cuts. She created a really lovely children’s book that re-images the folk story Hänsel and Gretel using paper cuts and transparencies.

yes this is what I did … a little bit, then I made some woollen pom poms. – in the heat, in fact in lovely hot hot 36+ degrees centigrade heat.

I have been down in the South of France and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. It was the break my beloved and I much needed. So I apologise for abandoning you all.

Where Am I?
