the finger

30/04/2012 § 3 Comments

silly me. THE WEEK HAS STARTED ALL WRONG.

Cut my finger whilst making my business cards…. popped into the pharmacy and they said – ‘I really think you need to get yourself down the doctors’

I now have a bandage and hope to get on today. Can’t type.

I do hope I can sew…… have lots to do.

– feel a bit funny too.

Goodbye Molly.

Yesterday I wrapped up Molly.  She was ready to join her new family.

Molly –  You will like it there. It’s a beautiful house. They are nice, cool people. It’s okay, really and besides, I only live down the road.

I’ll visit.

I promise.

Marvellous Molly

One completed little Molly, a cute oh so very blonde little five year old.

Now off to have some pink fizz, I deserve it.

TO: Molly’s folks – when would you like to have it?!

I got reply this a.m.
From James;
‘I have taken a look at your site and I think your work is excellent. I didn’t know what to expect and was surprised by your medium and love it, I was expecting paint not embroidery.

‘Please feel free to exhibit the piece and let me know where and when.

Thank you.
James’
I feel all warm and gooey. Glad he approved.

Just found out –

Have been asked to do a commission on a great looking dude and I’m already getting rather fidgety with ideas with what to do with him.

Claire – the wife wants a portrait of him for his 50th birthday, which is coming up real soon.

Anyway, he’s got this great mass of fluffy hair on his head and heavy rimmed glasses. He worked for telecoms and loves all things to do with telephones. So I am hoping to do a piece with him on the old dial blower. Should be good. I hope.

Molly is getting there…..

Little Molly is doing well….. still a bit more work to be done, currently working out the placement and still have the playmobil characters on a shelf to do……and then a frame to make. I have been very tense and nervous about it today, but hey ho –  so far so good.

I want to show you what I have done… but will not as I don’t want to spoil it for Molly’s Mummy and Daddy.

Attention: Mr Dano and Mrs Jan Ford  – no peeking now… you will just have to wait!

Have just told him. Gulp.

Have just emailed James – the great looking bearded man.

I hope he takes a peek at his portrait. I would love to know what he thinks. Mind you I’m a bit scared.

I checked out his website as soon as I got home, after meeting him. By trade he is a local dry stone waller. I had a nose and looked at the work he had done. It’s amazing – It’s a work of art in it’s own right. I would love to be able to do what he does.

What do you think Mister James?

Where Am I?
